Long Range Plan & Improvements Schedule for Water Transmission Main & Distribution System Upgrades-review conditional approval from Water Supply Division.
There are a few operational items that need to be finalized on the renewal water permit application from the sanitary survey done by the Water Supply Division. Bruce Babcock has done most of the work which needs to be written in a report and submitted. K. Ramsay is working on finalizing the report.
On July 23, the State approved the long range capital improvement plan for the Pittsford Water System. A meeting with the upgrade advisory engineer from Stantec will be held August 2, 2007 and timing and funding of the upgrade will be discussed. Concerns of the Board were expressed in regards to the bonding for the project. K. Ramsay stated that the best chance for success on a Town bond, is to identify the cost of the individual user. The State has been in contact with K. Ramsay in regards to right of way information for the Route 7 project.
T. Hooker reported that he has spoken with the Governor's office and they are trying to schedule an evening meeting for the Governor to meet with the Board. T. Hooker also requested that the Secretary of Transportation to come and this would give an opportunity for the Board to not only address its concerns about OMYA but also the postponing of the Route 7 project in Pittsford.
K. Ramsay reported that in response to a possible safety concern from VOSHA about the existing entryway to the Town's chlorine pumping station located at the water reservoir on Plains Road, Bruce Babcock has received an estimate from Miner Construction, Inc. for $10,250 to install a new bulkhead, concrete stairs, and heavy duty door, frame & lockset. T. Hooker made a motion to accept the bid from Miner Construction, Inc. for $10,250 for the upgrades for the entryway to the pumping station on Plains Road. D. Markowski seconded the motion. The motion was passed unanimously.
Robin Rowe thanked Bruce Babcock for his prompt service in response to the Rowes' calls regarding low water pressure a couple of weeks ago due to a hole in a water line. Discussion was held in regards to the bond issue for the Route 7 project and the water system repairs.
The Pittsford community will be informed as soon as the options for funding are identified for the project.
With no further business, the Water Board adjourned at 7:27PM.
