Pittsford Water Board Meeting
April 18, 2007
Allen Hitchcock opened the meeting at 8:10PM. Water Board members present were: Allen Hitchcock, Joseph Gagnon, and David Markowski. Thomas "Hank" Pelkey and Thomas Hooker were absent. Also present were Michael Balch, Linda Drummond, and Tom Carrara.
The minutes of April 4, 2007 were approved.
The water hydrant fee ordinance was tabled at the last meeting. T. Hooker and Bruce Babcock will be reporting back to the Board on how many hydrants are prime, fair, or not working. The ordinance will be voted on after the report is presented to the Board.
No water shut-offs occurred. All delinquent accounts were either paid in full or new agreements along with payments on account were completed by April 13, 2007.
The Florence well was down this week with no electricity because of the April 16th wind storm. It is now running but with minor issues which Bruce Babcock is closely monitoring. A technician is coming Thursday morning to check out the system with B. Babcock.
The Town is required by the State to have a power out plan; which we do. Discussion was held in regards to different ways to set up the backup plan. Two generators would cost approximately $35,000 to power everything during outages. There is always basic treatment even when the power is out.
With no further business, the Water Board adjourned at 8:20 PM.
