MINUTES

The Sewer Board minutes of August 1, 2007 were approved.

Pittsford Commons-Request for Additional Sewer Allocation

There is 6,288 gallons per day of uncommitted sewer capacity which is available.  It is a fluctuating amount and reports are sent semi-annually. Pittsford Commons has an existing sewer allocation of 500 gallons per day which is paid for yearly that is not being used yet. Barb Moran from the Pittsford Commons asked the Board for an additional allocation to cover the proposed construction of two duplexes(4 units) by a potential purchaser on an unused site of the Commons.  The State regulation on sewer allocation has changed from 150 gallons/day/unit to 210/day/unit.  The Commons would need an additional 340 gallons reserved sewer allocation. Discussion was held on the yearly amount that would be charged once the units were built which would be $500/unit.

T. Hooker made a motion to allot additional 340 gallons/day in the reserve capacity for the Pittsford Commons which will be billed out each year at $1.00/gallon.  J. Gagnon seconded the motion. Further discussion was held with Barb Moran asking about hooking up to the water system which is on a 1" line but it is not possible at this time.  There is a well on the Pittsford Commons property.   Discussion was held about hooking directly into the sewer pump station at Pittsford Commons. The motion was amended for the allocation to be granted upon verification from Bruce Babcock about the capacity and flows of the Pittsford Commons pump station. The amended motion was passed unanimously.

A letter will be drafted and sent this week with the Board's decision to the Pittsford Commons as they need the information for the sale of the property by August 30, 2007.

With no further business, the Sewer Board adjourned at 7:30PM.

Respectfully submitted:

Linda Drummond, Recording Secretary

Thomas "Hank" Pelkey, Chair

Allen Hitchcock, Vice-Chair

W. Joseph Gagnon, Selectman

David Markowski, Selectman

Thomas Hooker, Selectman
