2020 Fishing Derby Cancelled

Dear Children’s Fishing Program Participant,

As you are all aware, we are in the midst of a public health crisis due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The Governor has asked all of us to implement practices and make sacrifices in order to protect the most vulnerable people who could be affected by the virus. It is along that reasoning that we are reaching out to you now. It is with deep regret that we must inform you that after much thought and internal debate the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department has decided to cancel delivery of fish for all Children’s Fishing Programs in 2020. We fully realize the ramifications of this decision and we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
