Indoor Pickleball @ VT Police Academy Gym 2016/2017

Attention Pickleball players: BEGINING on Sunday, 11/6/16 Pickleball will be moving indoors for season to a new venue,
VT Police Academy Gym.
Pickleball is a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong. Played both indoors and outdoors on a badminton size court and a slightly modified tennis net. It is played with a paddle and plastic ball. A small group from Pittsford began playing during the summer of 2014 on a tennis court in Rutland. They played last winter at the Lothrop gym. If you’re interested in learning more about Pickleball or if you are a seasoned player join in. Program contact person Wayne Winston, 725-8079
WHEN: Sunday Mornings, 11/6/16 through 4/30/17 with some *Blackout dates see below:
Nov 13 – graduation for the 102nd, floor will have been polished for the following week
Nov 20 – post graduation of the 102nd, gym won’t have been cleaned up yet following graduation the previous Friday
Dec 25 – Christmas and shut down for BGS to do major maintenance
Jan 1 – New Years and shut down for BGS to do major maintenance
Feb 5 – gym will be setup for Day 1 of the 103rd Basic that starts the following day
The VT Police Academy DOES request that when folks are there they make sure not to block the emergency doors, fire extinguishers, etc. at the far end of the gym. There are signs on the specific doors! Thank you.
