Pittsford Town Manager Resignation / PRESS RELEASE

The Town of Pittsford’s Select Board is pleased to announce that Brenda Fox-Howard has accepted its offer to serve as the Town’s next Town Manager, under an initial three-year contract.  Fox-Howard plans to begin work on April 4, with a two-week transition period of working with departing Town Manager John Haverstock.  Brenda’s start date is somewhat flexible and dependent on the timetable for her closing on the purchase of a home in Pittsford which is under contract.

Fox-Howard has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the Colorado Technical University.  Following many years of work in finance within both the private and public sectors, she recently served as the Interim Town Manager for New Gloucester, Maine.

Fox-Howard has long-standing ties to New England.  She currently lives in Maine and has also lived and worked in Vermont, New Hampshire and Connecticut.  She is looking forward to returning to Vermont to begin working for the people of Pittsford.

Ms. Fox-Howard commented that she is honored to be selected for this new position.  She stated:

It is with a great deal of excitement and gratitude that I have accepted the position as Pittsford’s next Town Manager.  I look forward to working with the Selectboard, members of the Town staff, Town officials and the citizens of Pittsford.

Select Board Vice Chair David Mills stated that “I am looking forward to working with Brenda.  She will bring ‘fresh eyes’ to the position and we hope that she is able to bring some vitality and economic development to the Town.”
