RE: Follow up Information on Public Hearings held 8/2/2021
Regarding Application 21-24 from Michael & Kerry Merrill: This request for approval is for a Contractor Yard and Wood Manufacturing. The ZBA Recessed this Hearing until Monday August 16, 2021, which was cancelled at Applicant’s request.
At 6:00 pm on 8/23/21 the ZBA will conduct a Site Visit at the Merrill’s property at 7060 VT Rt.7. The purpose is to observe the project location subject to the Application. AN ALTERNATE Site Visit Location, if it is needed, will be at Charles Simpson’s (northern neighbor) property at 7118 US Rt. 7. The Public may attend, but testimony will not be taken during Site Visit.
The ZBA will then move proceedings to the Town Offices at 426 Plains Road, to reconvene the Public Hearing at 7:00 pm. This is open to the Public, and new testimony will be received.
Regarding Application 21-25 from Travis Bovey (dba Boondock Motors): On 8/2/2021, the ZBA has closed this Hearing to testimony (except for receipt of some specific documents).
On August 16, 2021, The ZBA met in Deliberative Session but has not reached a decision. The Board is scheduled to meet again in Deliberative Session on Wednesday 8/25/21 to continue work towards a decision. Deliberative Session(s) are Not Open to the Public.
Due to current rise in infection rates, Town Covid19 protocol now recommends ALL Participants meeting in-person to wear masks.
