Special Water & Sewer Commission Meeting

Minutes of Meeting/February 2, 2021
Present via telephone Conference Call: Clarence Greeno, Hank Pelkey, Helen McKinlay, Baird Morgan, Ernie Clerihew, Shawn Hendee, John Haverstock, Craig Jewett, John Kiernan and Bob Harrigan.

None. - Discussion of Depot Hill Upper Pump Station Construction Status
J. Haverstock opened the meeting by providing an overview of the situation. It seems that Casella has erred by installing the upper sewer pump station roughly one foot higher than designed. C. Jewett and J. Kiernan of Otter Creek Engineering provided further background and a detailed explanation of the Town’s several available options.
After extended discussion, there was a motion by E. Clerihew to accept Option 3 ( C ), which involves instructing Casella to install a supplemental emergency storage tank at the site, at no additional cost to the Town. Seconded by Hank Pelkey. Passed 5-0.

The Water & Sewer Commission adjourned its special meeting at 1:34 p.m.
