Minutes of Meeting – 03-25-2015 DRAFT
The Quarterly Meeting of the Pittsford Safety & Wellness Committee was called to order at 9:05 AM in the Conference Room at the Municipal Offices.
Members present: Mike Warfle, Randy Adams, Shawn Hendee, Jean Parker, Linda Drummond and Chad Eugair. Guest: Jeff Biasuzzi
Administration
Linda made the motion to accept the agenda. Mike seconded. Passed unanimously.
The minutes of November 20, 2014 were reviewed. Jean made the motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Chad. Passed unanimously.
Old business:
Winter Safety: Yak Trax were purchased with one set as a replacement and another set as an extra set.
New Business:
Chief Warfle applied and has been approved for a $500.00 VLCT Scholarship toward a $507.00 “Officer on the Road” safety class for one of the police officers. VLCT is also offering grants for $1,000.00, $2,500.00 and $5,000.00 for equipment to enhance the safety of employees.
Currently , there is $1,338.73 in the FY15 Health and Safety budget. New safety vests for the Water, Sewer and Highway Departments are on the list for possible replacement. Eye, ear and tick protection may be needed for those working outside. Each department will investigate their needs and bring their requests to the next meeting in May.
VLCT ‘s One-to-One Health and Wellness Consultations will be offered to all employees again this spring. By participating in the consultations and by having Safety & Wellness meetings each quarter, the Town earns a discount on the PACIF insurance premium.
The next meeting is scheduled to follow the May staff meeting.
Having no other business for discussion, Mike made the motion to adjourn and Randy seconded. All approved. Meeting adjourned at 9:35 AM
