TOWN OF PITTSFORD, VERMONT
Reference:Review of proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance for the Town of Pittsford. In part, said amendments are intended to clarify ordinance language to eliminate ambiguity; reorganize sections within the Ordinance to keep related sections and topics together; establish regulations for farm worker housing, installation of outdoor wood fired boilers, and permits related to catastrophic events; and, reorganize and reclassify uses within the Table of Uses.
Pursuant to State law 24 VSA Chapter 117 Section 4441, the Planning Commission is charged with preparing a bylaw and regulatory tools to implement the plan for the municipality and is authorized to prepare amendments to said bylaw from time-to-time as the municipality sees fit. The Planning Commission must hold at least one public hearing within the municipality after public notice on any proposed bylaw or changes to the bylaw before submitting the proposed amendments to the Select Board.
The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive comments on the above scheduled matter and other matters as may regularly come before the Commission on Thursday August 28, 2014 at 7:00pm at the Municipal Office Building, Plains Road, Pittsford, Vermont. The proposed Zoning Ordinance, dated July 28, 2014 and with the amendments highlighted,is available for public review at the Municipal Offices during normal business hours.
