Meeting Agenda : Zoning Board of Adjustment




1.       Reference: Application by Travis Bovey (Boondock Motors) to appeal the decision of the Zoning Administrator in which a Zoning Permit Application for an off-premise sign to be located on property owned by Omya, Inc. with address of 2847 West Creek Road, Parcel ID #0992, in the Town of Pittsford, was denied.  The off-premise sign is for Boondock Motors operating at 670 Hollister Quarry Road.


Purpose of Request: Section 1401 thru 1403 of the Pittsford Zoning Ordinance allows for an applicant aggrieved by a decision of the Zoning Administrator to appeal said decision to the Zoning Board of Adjustment.


2.       Reference: Application by Margaret Evans and Kevin Brown of Groundworks Farm for a variance to allow the placement of a recreational vehicle (RV) for farm labor housing from April 1 to November 25 of 2012 and 2013.


Purpose of Request: Section 1115.C of the Pittsford Zoning Ordinance allows the placement of an RV for occupancy not to exceed 90 days in any 12 month period.  The applicants seek a variance from the Zoning Board of Adjustment pursuant to Article XV of the Pittsford Zoning Ordinance to allow occupancy exceeding the 90 day limit.


The Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on the above scheduled matter and other matters as may regularly come before the Board on March 19, 2012 at 7:00pm at the Municipal Office Conference Room, Plains Road, Pittsford, Vermont.  The applications, with accompanying documents, are available for public review at the Municipal Offices, Monday, 8:00am to 1:00pm, and Thursday, 1:00pm to 6:00pm.
