Pittsford Water Board Meeting Thomas "Hank" Pelkey opened the meeting at 6:55PM. Water Board members present were: Thomas "Hank" Pelkey, Allen Hitchcock, Joseph Gagnon, David Markowski, and Thomas Hooker. Also present were Michael Balch, Linda Drummond, Kathleen Ramsay, Tom Carrara, Lisa Connell, Todd Grant, Mary Grant, and Odell Johnston Sr.
MINUTES The minutes of June 20, 2007 were approved.
OLD BUSINESS
Discussion was held in regards to the Consumer Confidence Reports (CCR) which were sent out to the Pittsford and Florence water users in June 2007. M. Balch explained that the first State water sample schedule request listed some of the tests to be taken once every three years but in fact they wanted testing done once a year for three years. Due to this misinterpretation of the the State test schedule, the State stated that Pittsford was in violation of not doing the correct tests on their schedule. The water departments have to report this information on the CCRs which are mailed to the water users once every year. The State has since sent a revised test schedule to all water systems in Vermont. No fines were imposed on the water systems but notification of the violations had to be posted, put in the newspaper, and mailings sent to the water users which cost approximately $700.
