State of Vermont
A letter dated June 13, 2006 was received from the State of Vermont stating the Town had not complied with the required five water tests due for January 2006 as a result of a e coli hit in December 2005. The Town has copies of the five water test results from the VT State Lab that were conducted in January 2006. The State advised the Operator is responsible to be sure the State has the test results and have recommended in the future all copies of test results received be copied and sent to the Water Supply Division in case they do not receive the copies from the State Lab. In addition, the State has requested we phone a few days later to confirm the lab results have been recorded as completed.
M. Balch sent a written response to the Pittsford Water Sanitary Survey on June 16, 2006. To date we have received no reply from the State in regard to our response letter or to the Town’s request for an extension of our Temporary Operation Permit deadlines of December 1, 2006.
Water Quality Reports
Pittsford and Florence Water Quality Reports were mailed out on Friday, June 23, 2006 to be in compliance with the July 1, 2006 deadline requirement.
B. Sird stated Allen Hitchcock’s idea to research the possibility of putting a generator into the water line coming down from Chittenden into Pittsford is a wonderful suggestion. $15,000
annually is estimated for income which could result from implementation of the generator for electricity.
Draft Laser Utility Bill
A draft of the new utility bill being programmed to run from a laser printer was reviewed and approved by the Water Board.
With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:05 P.M.
