OLD BUSINESS

Review report—Pittsford Water Permit Amendment

The guidelines for the water conservation policy will need to be adopted by the Board.  Everything is written and in place per the amendment.  The only piece needed will be the report from DNH which Tom Nesbitt will be meeting with M. Balch and Bruce Babcock soon and then writing a draft for the Board to review by January 15, 2007.  After the draft is reviewed, a final will be presented to the Board after which the final reports should be ready to be sent to the Water Division approximately 45 days ahead of the deadline of April 1, 2007.

J. Gagnon made a motion to adopt the Guidelines for Water Conservation Policy. T. Hooker seconded the motion.  Discussion was held in regards to the notification of the customers in the area of the policy.  Also D. Markowski noted that the area should include the 3” as well as the 1” water lines on Route 7 South, beginning from the Pittsford Mills Red Barn apartments to the Rowe apartments.  The motion was amended by J. Gagnon to include the 3” as well as the 1” water lines.  T. Hooker seconded the amended motion.  The motion was passed unanimously.

The Board was given a copy of the Addendum to Operation Manual 10/18/06 which Bruce Babcock drafted in regards to additional E. Coli monitoring after high water flow events.

The Board reviewed the list of the Florence water users to see if there would be any contacts for consideration for a water commissioner.

R. Rowe asked about the back flow preventers mentioned in the water permit amendment.  These preventers must be installed by April 1, 2007.

T. Carrara inquired about the progress of the new water meter installations.  There have been 18 installed with 5 more replacements that have been scheduled.

With no further business, the Water Board adjourned at 7:40 PM.

Respectfully submitted:

Linda Drummond, Recording Clerk

Thomas “Hank” Pelkey, Chair
