Town of Pittsford Select Board Meeting
Thomas “Hank” Pelkey opened the meeting at 7:38 PM. Sewer Board members present were: Thomas “Hank” Pelkey, Allen Hitchcock, Joseph Gagnon, David Markowski, and Thomas Hooker. Also present were Michael Balch, Linda Drummond, Tom Carrara, Gary Gallipo, and Ralph Reynolds.
The Sewer Board minutes of October 4, 2006 were approved.
Discussion was held in regards to seeing any reduction in the flow at Elm St. There is infiltration at the pumping station which is significant that has not been fixed yet. There is so much water at the pumping station at this time that repairs will have to wait until there is a dry spell. The monthly flow charts are available after the first of each month.
Elm Street flows have been directly linked to rainfall. When it stabilizes, then it would be a good idea to graph out the rainfall with both Elm St. and Depot St. Also graphing the water system usage would be a good idea in the future.
A. Hitchcock mentioned to B. Babcock about a hydroplant at the reservoir. Placing a generator in the water line will have to wait as the pressure could blow out the lead joints on the old water lines.
More discussion was held about the Elm Station pumping station and the depth of the area where the repairs will need to done which is approximately 12 to 15 feet deep. Trench Boxes will probably need to be used to do the repair work.
With no further business, the Sewer Board adjourned at 7:47 PM.
