Sewer Board Meeting April 5, 2006         

Thomas “Hank” Pelkey opened the meeting at 7:05 PM.  Sewer Board members present were:  Thomas “Hank” Pelkey, Allen Hitchcock, Joseph Gagnon, David Markowski, and Thomas Hooker.  Also present were Michael Balch, Linda Drummond, Rob Tikoft, Peter Becker, Erik Becker, John Eugair, Randal Adams, and Tom Carrara.

MINUTES

The Sewer Board minutes of March 15, 2006 were reviewed, discussed, and approved.

Acquisition of the Pittsford Commons Pumping Station was considered.  A. Hitchcock made a motion to accept the responsibilities of the ownership of Pittsford Commons Pumping Station.

D. Markowski seconded the motion.  The motion was unanimously passed.

 

Consider abating sewer interest and penalty for Edward Shannon.  Letter was received and reviewed by the Board.  A. Hitchcock addressed the issue of billing for water and sewer.  M. Balch stated that with the new reappraisal there will be more complete identifications of the residents who are on water meters and sewer hookups.  About 50 new water meters will be replacing old meters in the next 90 days.   

D. Markowski made a motion to abate the sewer interest and penalty for Edward Shannon of $25.00 and for Brad Sulik of $22.50.  A. Hitchcock seconded the motion.

The motion was unanimously passed.

 

A.Hitchcock made a motion to suspend the action on the equalization tank at the sewer plant.  T. Hooker seconded the motion.  The motion was unanimously passed.  A. Hitchcock made a motion to promptly go out for bid on the Elm St. line and pump station including a structure at the head of the line.  D. Markowski seconded the motion.  The motion was unanimously passed.

With no further business, the Sewer Board adjourned at 7:20 PM.
